As of the end of April, there were 38 sugar factories in Yunnan that were engaged in extraction, compared to 47 in the same period last year; Accumulated sugar production of 2.3639 million tons, compared to 2.0227 million tons in the same period of the previous crushing season; The sugar production rate was 13.33%, compared to 13.15% during the same period in the previous crushing season.
Due to the fact that there are still 14 sugar factories in Yunnan that have not yet started crushing, it is expected that the final output of the 24/25 crushing season will be over 2.4 million tons, higher than expected.
The national sugar production during the 24/25 crushing season is expected to reach around 11.15 million tons, an increase of 1.18 million tons year-on-year.
However, currently the national production and sales rate is generally high, and sugar factories are making fast progress in destocking, so there is not much pressure to increase production estimates.
