On March 12, 2018, accompanied by Ms. Cheng Shujuan, general manager of China Commerce Sugar Industry Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as CCSI), group president Mr. Zhang Jianxi met with president Mr. Pedro Isamu Mizutani of UNICA, chief executive officer Mr. Marcos Sank of CNA, business consultant of Brazilian government to China, and staffs of APEX Brazil. This meeting is the third stop after they visited China Sugar Association and COFCO.

Group president Mr. Zhang Jianxi first extended warm welcome for president Mr. Mizutani and his team’s visit and introduced general profile of group and CCSI to them.

They also expressed their thanks for our warm welcome and introduced present status of productions of members companies of UNICA, sugarcane planting in Brazil and among UNICA, and Brazilian sugar exported to China.

General manager Ms. Cheng Shujuan introduced general status of sugarcane from four parts including plantation, production, transportation and storage during 17-18 crushing season in China, and showed that a work in tackling sugar trafficking and other issues was also jointly conducted by China customs, China Sugar Association and other relevant authorities; furthermore, generally speaking, Chinese sugar industry was going to be in good stage for the time being, and both sides discussed some other issues and reached a consensus on sugar imported form Brazil.

They were very interested in Chinese clean energy, and had deeper exchanges and communication with group and CCSI on ethanol’s production and demand in China. Through communication, both sides had willingness to expand the cooperation in a wide range of cross-border business.

Group president Mr. Zhang Jianxi was accompanied by Mr. Liu Yang, vice president of CCSI, and Mr. Qi Ming, general manager of business center of CCSI, who also attended the meeting and met with the president Mr. Pedro Isamu Mizutani and his team of UNICA.
