According to the data released by the Ministry of Commerce recently, 0 tons of raw sugar outside the tariff quota actually arrived in Hong Kong in June, and 64,000 tons is forecast to arrive in Hong Kong next month, mainly imported from East China.
It is expected that China´s sugar imports in June will be between 100,000 and 150,000 tons, compared with 140,000 tons in the same period last year.
If the estimate is accurate, China´s sugar imports in the first half of 2023 will only be about 1.2 million tons, a large reduction of 560,000 tons year-on-year.
It is also the stage of serious inversion of the price difference between domestic and foreign, sugar imports began to increase in August last year, and this year may still maintain this import rhythm.
Import data will be released soon, the number or still not much, in recent days, the domestic sugar market has shown signs of recovery, the spot price of the producing area has been raised several times, and the group continues to move.
