In Thailand, 57 sugar mills opened for the 2019/20 season as of December 31, an increase of 2 over the same period last year. The cumulative crushing of sugar cane was about 23.08 million tons, down 20.84% year-on-year, and the production of sugar was 2.2817 million tons, down 18.64% year-on-year.
